Release Notes

This service release includes the following features and improvements.

  • A new Statement Descriptor setting has been added to the Payments section that will allow you to customize the text that appears on credit card statements when participants and ticket buyers make online purchases from your event.Previously, ClearEvent would override the default Stripe Statement Descriptor setting on an event-by-event basis by using the first 22 characters of the Event Name to set the Statement Descriptor for any event-specific online payments. In some cases, this wasn’t ideal, so we’ve now made it completely customizable. You’ll now also see the Statement Descriptor shown in the Participants section > Participant Details > Overview tab and the Tickets section > Ticket Orders tab > Ticket Order Details page.

    To customize the Statement Descriptor for your event(s):

    • For each event you run, open the Event Manager App (as an Event Owner).
    • Go to the Payments section.
    • Edit the new Statement Descriptor field and set it to the desired value. Statement Descriptors can only be 22 characters.
  • Fixed an issue related the browser auto-fill feature on Mac OSX 10 devices that, in certain rare circumstances, was causing some registration form submission failures.
  • Numerous minor usability and stability improvements.
